Fred Bueltmann | November 24, 2014I’ve hosted my family Thanksgiving for longer than I can remember, and it has been a formative experience for me. It has informed my cooking perspective, provided the opportunity to develop skills and wholly changed my point of view on what it means to be good host. A few Christmases ago, I was in Denmark at my in-laws Julefrokost celebration. It is a Christmas lunch on “Little Christmas”, which is December 26th. It’s also their Anniversary, so their tradition is a day-long Christmas Lunch (“Julefrokost”), with friends and family. I’ve been fortunate enough to participate in a few of these, but this one was different in that it was the first time I helped cook, and I also had some American friends to introduce to the tradition.
