New Holland Brewing celebrates ten years in beer Brewery hosts “Mad Hatter Days” weekend celebration and special release of “Moxie” Sour Ale Holland, Michigan – June 5, 2007: New Holland Brewing Company is celebrating its ten years in beer with a weekend of activities entitled “Mad Hatter Days”, spanning June 8 and 9. The weekend begins with a golf outing on Friday, June 8, followed by live music by Michigan blues-phenom Laith Al-Saadi from 9:30 pm to 1 am. Saturday afternoon features expanded brewery tours and special tastings at the New Holland production facility, followed at the pub by “The Mad Hatter Disco” at 9 pm with featured guests, “Funkilinium” and the Grand Raggidy Roller Girls. Eight different types of “Hatter” will be pouring all weekend, including “Hatterized Hatter” poured through an inline hop-infuser. Special Anniversary Release The brewery is also releasing a celebratory, limited edition beer named Moxie. It is a sour-ale aged over one year in oak barrels. It is available at the pub in cork-finished 750 ml bottles. In 2006, New Holland Brewing Company brewed and shipped just over 5,500 barrels of beer throughout nine states, making it the second largest brewery in the State of Michigan (a barrel is equal to 31 gallons). The company expects to surpass the 7,000 barrel mark in 2007, while opening only a few of the new markets that are asking to sell their beer. New Holland Brewing is proud to employ more than 50 people while championing the prideful pursuit of making and selling craft beer. The company strives to continue to develop their interpretation of “Art in Fermented Form” by offering more than 12 beers throughout the year.
