September Beer Issues

October 2011

Thank you for contact us regarding your recent New Holland experience. We truly appreciate you making the effort to offer us some feedback, and we regret that you’ve had an issue with one of our products.

We have a robust quality control program at New Holland Brewing Company, which makes incidents like yours a rarity. However, it has come to our attention that some compromised beer may have evaded our testing and made it out of the facility this summer.

Please note: the beer in question poses no heath risk whatsoever. This beer may simply contain yeast from our barrel-aged beer, specifically Blue Sunday Sour Ale. While that yeast is a key ingredient in Blue Sunday, when introduced into other products it can result in an unpleasant sour flavor and/or unbalanced carbonation (flat or conversely, overly foamy).

We believe this issue is limited to a small quantity of bottles. Please know that the issue will present randomly, so one bad bottle does not mean the other bottles from the same six-pack or case are similarly affected.

We deeply apologize for any inconvenience this experience may have caused you. Please provide us with the necessary information by filling out our Beer Feedback Form, so we can do our best to rectify the situation. While State law prohibits us from shipping beer directly to you, we would like to offer you a refund in the form of a credit to our online store. Directions for use will follow your submission at http://newhollandbrew.com/beer-feedback.

We are beer fans first and foremost, so we’ll continue our robust and creative barrel-aging programs like the Blue Sunday Sour Ale. However, please know that we’ve introduced additional control measures to prevent similar issues from happening again. We are committed to providing the highest level of consumer confidence as possible and will work to avoid similar situations in the future.

For more information, email our Administrative Assistant, Heather Goodin via heather@newhollandbrew.com, who will direct you to the correct personnel.

We appreciate your patience, support and understanding.

Cheers,
New Holland Brewing
