Robust in character yet smooth in delivery, Cabin Fever is a roasty brown ale and a hearty, comforting companion for long, mind-bending winters. Its rye, roast and raisin notes play off a subtle caramel sweetness and culminate in a dry finish. Excellent with roasts, stews, caramelized onions and snowfall.

I have tried nearly every brown ale on Earth and this is, without a doubt, is the best I have ever had! Love it!!!
I just found some Cabin Fever on Tap at one of our local BW3′s here in Ohio last week and it was really GOOD! I have been back again for more and was happy to see that they still had some left. I agree with Robert G. (posted above) it is one the best Brown Ale’s that I have tried!
As I sit on a rainy evening, thoroughly enjoying a Cabin Fever, I felt that I had to comment and I will agree that this is by far the best Brown Ale I have had. A true roasty, malty sweetness with a big, chewy mouthfeel and long, satisfying finish. Consistent year to year! Excellent beer, NHBC!
Gee, I was going to post that Cabin Fever is the best brown ale I’ve ever tasted but that seems to be what the earlier posters already said….
Does anyone from New Holland read these posts? I want to know why CF isn’t made year round?

I stumbled upon this beer on draft at a local bar/restaurant in Pittsburgh, PA. My girlfriend and I were amazed by how good this beer is. If you are a fan of brown ales.. This is an absolute must. The only quality from the description is how well it fits winter: I certainly warmed up a bit In a cool setting upon drinking this beer. I agree with the above: it’s as good of a brown ale as I’ve tastes
Thanks for drinking NHB, Sonny!
I’ve been a religious Newcastle drinker for the last couple of years. I travel all over the nation on business and have tried brown ales at all of my destinations. None of them really made me convert. Funny thing–my local distributor here in Northampton PA had a few cases of this today. It’s great! I love the nutty, smokey hints with not too much sweetness and a smoothe finish. It’s quite addictive!! Just figured i would give you guys a shout out to keep up the good work and i will be trying some of your other brews since this one impressed me so much.
Way cool, Aaron! Thanks for the kind words, Cheers!
Im a big brown ale fan. New favorite. Very season appropriate!
