Meet Jenney Grant: Beer and Spirits Concierge

Congratulations is in order to Jenney Grant, who recently moved from the pub to Beer and Spirits Concierge! She is now in charge of managing Brewery and Distillery tours and assisting the sales department with purchasing all non-wearable point of sale merchandise. Jenney began at the pub in January of 2011 as a server and also a tour guide. What made her want to work for New Holland? Jenney says, “it is really fun to be working at a growing company where everything is so accessible to learn, and there are plenty of opportunities.”

After growing up in the southern suburbs of Chicago, Jenney attended DePaul University where she studied Urban Geography, which “is a lot like brewing,” she says. :) She lived in Chicago for 10 years before moving to Holland. So what does she bring to the New Holland Team? “Awesomeness and a bangin’ bod” of course! The most challenging aspect of her job though, is that because her degree was in Urban Geography, she really is learning everything from scratch. Nevertheless, Jenney is very excited to be at New Holland and is happy to learn. Her favorite New Holland beer is, “Jenneylicious- obviously!” said Jenney. “I am waiting for my photo shoot for the labels for when we start to bottle it.” She also gets excited when Envious comes out and loves Mad Hatter.

For fun you can find Jenney camping, canoeing, or mixing cocktails. Jenney lives with her partner Liz – she adds, “it is illegal for us to be married here in Michigan and in most states in the land of the free,” – and their “insane” dog Emma! As far as long term goals go, Jenney wants to eventually be a campground host, “I want to travel the country with Liz, live in State Parks, National Parks, National Forests, etc.” She says, “I pretty much want to squat on land, drink beer out of a koozie in an American Flag camp chair, and manage a camp ground giving tours and getting people excited to visit these awesome places.” She also has other goals, one of which is canoeing the Mississippi River from Minnesota to the Gulf Of Mexico!

If you haven’t yet, you must sign up to take a wonderful tour at the Brewery, Distillery (or both!) and say hi to Jenney!
