Meet Robin Boros: Maestro of Merchandise

New Holland Brewing welcomed Robin Boros from part-time to full-time recently! Robin is the “Maestro of Merchandise” and oversees retail operations at the Pub as well as at the 684 Commerce Ct. location in addition to online. She orders all wearable merchandise so that you can look fabulous in your New Holland gear! She also works with finance to ensure a sustainable budget. Some of Robin’s tasks include: organizing and restocking retail stores on a regular basis and creating tablescapes and displays to coordinate with holidays or events. Robin adds, “cleaning up messes made during the crazy times at the Pub keeps me busy!”

Robin began her career after graduating from Grand Valley State University with a degree in Heath Communications and finding a job in health care. She says, “I knew I wanted to get into merchandising and wanted a change and I’d only had good experiences with NHBC.” She jumped on the opportunity when she saw a part-time job come up and said that, “Dave White and Sheila won me over during my interview process. I’ve known several dishonest managers and I could tell this was going to be different.” Robin also noticed quality employees who she could tell loved their jobs- which is what she was looking for in a career. Robin started at New Holland Brewing in June of 2010.

Robin grew up in Sparta, MI which she calls, “Spartabama,” because, “it’s apple country!” She says that some of her main traits that she brings to the New Holland team include optimism and a sincere excitement for what’s on the horizon. “I’m excited to plan for new merchandise and to coordinate with events. I have a bubbly personality and a love of people,” she says. Robin enjoys the thought of growing with New Holland and and finally finding balance with her home life and career. She adds, “If I bring my work home, I don’t mind- and I’m not just talking about a 6-pack!” The most challenging part? Actually finding that balance between home life and work. “Learning to prioritize and letting go of some things has been good,” Robin says.

For fun (outside of working at NHBC) Robin likes to sing, “A joy for me is singing with the love of my life, Jason Eller. He is my other half but his daughter, Alyric, makes us whole.” She also enjoys guitar and writing songs, swimming, running, yoga, and spending time with their dogs Mercedes and Rudy. Robin’s favorite Mainstay is The Poet, and she also likes Beerhive.

If you’re looking to spice up your wardrobe, stop by the store at either the Pub or 684 and purchase some merch from Robin!
