If you haven’t heard of the Blissfest Music Festival it is sponsored by the Blissfest Music Organization. Their mission “is to preserve and promote cultural heritage and diversity with a focus on folk and roots music, dance, oral history and crafts from America and all cultures.”

The festival itself will be a celebration of music, culture, art and community “featuring a world of diverse and innovative folk, world and roots music and dance at the Festival Farm” which is located in rural northern Michigan. Blissfest describes it’s festival as “a blissful musical weekend to be shared with families, friends and music-lovers of all ages. The annual event is a showcase of the many musical styles that define American roots and world music. Bluegrass, Blues, Zydeco, Celtic, Folk, Jazz, Latin, Ethnic, World music and dance all share the stage. Innovators of these roots styles are on hand to dazzle and amaze. There is something for everyone.” That something for everyone includes music, a juried arts & crafts show, children’s activities, a variety of food concessions and camping!

If you choose to attend this event for the weekend- which we recommend- you can spend it rustic camping with a Weekend Pass! To find out more on camping accommodations click here.
