New Holland's Mad Hatter IPA will be one of sixteen casks tapped in the largest selection of cask ales ever assembled in Ohio. The cask ale fest will be held at Chappy's tap room and grille on Saturday November 1st from 1pm-5pm. Tickets are $40 per person and are limited to the first 175 people. Taste 5 special beers with the Partners of New Holland Brewing Company. Brett VanderKamp, President and Co-founder, John Haggerty, Brewmaster and Fred Bueltmann, Beervangelist, will share their insight as they guide you through six beers from their Michigan-based brewery.
The beers: Golden Cap, the brewery’s first saison, Blue Sunday Sour Ale, their limited edition (500 bottles made), 11th Anniversary Ale, Charkoota Rye – a smoked Rye-bock (only 11 kegs made), Dragon’s Milk - the barrel-aged anchor of their High Gravity series and two vintages of Pilgrim’s Dole, one of the premier wheatwines of the region.
Learn about the beers’ origin, ingredients and flavor components. Enjoy a thoughtfully paired food as well as tips on how to pair beer on your own. Brett, John and Fred represent all aspects of the business of beer, so this class will be chock-full of perspective from the world of craft-brewing.

Presented in the 40,000 square foot elegance of DeVos Place’s Steelcase Ballroom, this three day event will attract thousands of consumers and offer a vast array of extraordinary tastings, cooking demonstrations, gourmet specialty items and accessories as we head into the holiday season.
New Holland's Beervangelist Fred Bueltmann will be leading two workshops on Saturday the 22nd. At 6:30pm he will present "Beer and Cheese" and at 8:30pm Fred will talk about "Beer and Chocolate".
Tickets are available at the door on the day of the event. No one under the age of 21 will be allowed into the festival. Sampling tickets will be sold at the entrance and redeemed at booths.

To celebrate the unveiling of their large gingerbread castle and to officially kick off the holiday season, the Marriott Chicago Downtown is partnering with New Holland Brewing Co. and hosting a beer and pastry tasting from 4:30-7 in the hotel lobby.
During the event, Culinary Artist and Marriott’s Master Ice Carver will be outside on Michigan Avenue ice carving for passersby. This event officially kicks off the Marriott's holiday season.
This year’s Gingerbread display is a 20 foot long Gingerbread castle from the creative minds of CHIDT pastry shop. Made up of over 500 pounds of gingerbread and over 400 pounds of candy and icing. The fairy castle has two trains and is lit up with holiday lights.
Beer and Dessert Tasting:
Beer experts from New Holland will be at the Marriott to hand out samples of beer paired with Chicago Marriott Downtown Desserts.
Featured will be:
Mini Chocolate Belgium Waffles served with “Dragon’s Milk” Beer Syrup made with New Holland’s Dragon’s Milk Ale
Beer Malts made with New Holland’s “Night Tripper” Imperial Stout
Poet Oatmeal Stout served with Mini Housemade Oatmeal Raisin Cookies
