coffee, raisins, aniseed, coriander, black pepper and cinnamon.

THE VANDRIE's sound is influenced by a wide variety of musical styles and genres, from alternative rock and pop such as Muse, The Killers, and Kings of Leon, to hard rock and metal bands like Opeth and Deftones, but THE VANDRIE manage to combine all of those influences into a sound that is unique in and of itself, honest, and passionate.

The band is currently trying to make a name for themselves locally and nationally by giving unrelentingly passionate live performances and captivating audiences with their honesty and unique ability to blend rock music with art and style. The Vandrie is currently recording their debut EP!

With all the popularity and interest there is today in what is referred to as “New Country”, what would posess four seasoned musicians to go entirely the other direction? Call it integrity, going against the grain, being niche-y, whatever. Delilah Dewylde and the Lost Boys march to the country shuffle of a bygone era; before country was on FM radio, before country artists had personal trainers, and most certainly, before country sounded like rock and roll with fiddle.

Mixing self penned songs with old country hits (and unknown gems) by such artists as Hank Williams, Webb Pierce, Ernest Tubb, and Buck Owens to name a few, Delilah and the Lost Boys come out on stage looking and sounding like a 45 year step back in time. Dressed to the nines in the tradition of pre-color television country singers and musicians, donning matching western suits and playing the finest vintage musical instruments in the finest old school way.

The leader of the band of course is Delilah, playing upright bass and singing lead. A veteran of the West Michigan music scene for over 15 years and an alumnus of rockabilly institution DangerVille, is also a holder of the secret of standing on the bass while she plays it. Don’t ask her how it’s done, as it’s a secret.

Where many “power trios” get their distinction due to instrumental prowess, The Bryan Michael Fischer Band could be called a “Power Quartet”, leaning on Fischer's huge voice and personality as the focal point for this ensemble. With barn-burning, high-octane blues, classic soul and R&B hits, and some more modern material and original works thrown in for good measure, this group will be leaving audiences breathless after a full night of shakin' their money-makers to cool grooves, slow-burning blues, and energetic soul workouts.

Join Dr. Joel from New Holland & Jay from Calkins Creamery at Craft Ale House for a night of beer, cheese, and discussion. Five Calkins Creamery Cheeses will be available along with a host of New Holland beers on draft and in bottles.

The Lazy Blue Tunas is a four-piece group made up of three acoustic guitarists and an electric bassist, featuring three- and four-part harmonies while covering a variety of material from performers such as The Beatles, The Travelling Wilburys, Bare-Naked Ladies, Eagles, Jackson 5, Eric Clapton, U2, Badfinger, Temptations, and The Who. Please don’t mistake the Tunas for an easy-listening folk group - they love to surprise the audience, succeeding in getting the listeners involved and excited about the music.

Now in their 10th year together, the band plays to full houses at a variety of venues, both public and private, including The One Trick Pony, The BOB, The Kirby House, The Grand Rapids Art Museum, Centennial Country Club, and Meijer Gardens, as well as appearances at GR's Festival of the Arts and downtown's 4th of July fireworks celebration. The Tunas' loyal following of music connoisseurs appreciate the authentic renditions of songs both popular and obscure.
Each of the band members has played extensively in the West Michigan area in a variety of popular bands. On vocals and acoustic guitars are Dave Marsh, Pete Bardolph, and Scott Vander Ark. Mark VanderKolk also contributes vocals as he holds down the bottom on electric bass.

New World Atlas was started in the fall of 2005 as a musical outlet for four friends and after adding a drummer has now become a successful cover band in the Mid-Michigan area. The group includes Barry Hicks, Shane Pitmon, Alex Watkins, Steve Helsel, and Kevin “ox” Irish.

New World Atlas is not your average cover band. They draw their influence from all genres of music. Besides playing the songs, this band enjoys making the songs come to life. They take pride in creating new arrangements for some songs, making them more exciting, and making them their songs. This band is dedicated to giving the best show they can. They always are excited to be on stage and they bring a professional attitude and performance to every show. New World Atlas is different from most cover bands and that’s alright with them!

A true Power Trio, Four Finger Five is known for the full, powerful sound they create with only three members. Consisting of guitarist/lead singer Joe Sturgill, bassist Mike Phillips, and drummer Steve Harris, the band was recently named one of Billboard magazines’ “Top 5 New Bands Breaking The Rules.” 4F5 was also cited as "One of Billboards top up and coming festival bands" after becoming one of a handfull of band to perform at both Rothbury Music Festivals.

The band presents a unique mix of rock and blues while at the same time bringing together elements of pop, soul, and even reggae. This diverse mastering and intertwining of genres proves Four Finger Five is indeed a live band. Each show is filled with powerful, captivating songs that are robust with unique lyrical content as well as top-notch musicianship and improvisation. The result is an undeniable and very familiar, infectious groove, reminiscent of music of the power trios of the past but intertwined with the feel and popularity of today’s modern music. This combination is what brings out crowds filled with both young and old. Defying the musical generalizations of age, race, and gender we give you the music of, Four Finger Five.

A true beer tasting festival with over 150 craft beers from down the street and around the country, great live music, and a whole lotta friends having a great time to benefit a great cause. 1981 is when it all began... there's been different variations of the band over the years, but the band is going strong with lot's of gigs around West Michigan and has quickly become a favorite here at the pub. New Holland Brewing Co. is proud to be a sponsor of the Grand Rapids Marathon again this year. In anticipation of this year's marathon on October 17th we are holding "Beer Runs" leading up to the race.

These Beer Runs will be held on the first Tuesday of the month at several locations with the kickoff event at New Holland Brewing Co. on June 1st.

For $5 you will be provided with a map for the beer run that will take you on a short run that will wind up back at New Holland. After the run you will receive 1 New Holland beer, complementary appetizers and a chance to win some cool door prizes.

If you complete 4 out of the 5 Beer Runs you will receive a Beer Run T-shirt. T-shirts will also be on sale for $15.

Half of your $5 entry fee will be donated to a local charity. On June 1st the proceeds will go to benefit The Center for Women in Transition.

Headlining the 13th annual Mad Hatter Disco Ball this year will be Michigan based funk-soul collective Midtown Underground.

Formed in the summer of 2002 in the art district of downtown Pontiac, MI, Midtown Underground is influenced by Jazz, Funk, Soul, Old School Hip-Hop, R&B, Twang, and Rock. Through informal jam sessions at an underground rehearsal studio and local clubs the band and its sound expanded, with frequent guests from the Detroit area music scene sitting in.

Midtown underground is known for their high energy and spontaneous live shows, while maintaining a prevailingly modern attitude with respect to the roots. MU has received several accolades including multiple Detroit Music Award nominations in the Urban/Funk category as well as released several CD's over the years.

Beer & Cheese Smackdown:
Defending Beer & Cheese Smackdown Champ Phil "The Eventinator" Thomson will take on challenger and New Holland Pub Brewer Jeff "Funky Brewster" Sheehan in six rounds of beer and cheese pairings.
Six select cheeses will be chosen by New Holland Chef Matt Millar and Phil and Jeff will each pair a beer with each cheese. You will cast your vote for the best pairing for each round and whoever wins the most rounds will be crowned the Beer & Cheese Smackdown champ.
The seating is limited to the first 30 people and tickets are $10 per person. Tickets are available for purchase at the pub.

The Lee-Tri [Pronounced “Tree”] is comprised of guitarist/vocalist Lee Heerspink, bassist Karel Lille, and drummer Kevin Depree. Their version of fun working man’s “Flannel Jazz” has been thoroughly enjoyed the past couple years by many in West Michigan. Their styles range from instrumental and vocal jazz standards to funk fusion and latin, all of which is highly entertaining and can be enjoyed by crowds of all ages. The Lee-Tri provides the right background for any setting whether it’s an all out party, or a laid back trip to the pub!

The Hatter Day Hatters will be available in a flight with four samples of your choice for $10.

In addition to the Hatter Day Hatters, Ashley's will be featuring Hatter Royale Hop-A-Rita's. The Hop-A-Rita is a modern interpretation of the classic margarita featuring the distinctively dry-hopped Hatter Royale Hopquila.

New Holland's own Rich Blair, will be on site for libations and spirited conversation at 8 pm.

Ashley's encourages you to wear your best Hatter Day gear and rewards will be given to those who partake in the spirit of "Hatter Days." Green hats and the Queen of Hearts are welcome in all shapes and colors.

Join us for Mad Hatter Days at Uptown Grille, for a night of Hatter Day Hatters, Hatter Day food and fare will be available for the night. Grand Rapids-based jam/fusion band, Glean Infusion was formed in 2007 as a collective musical experience intended to encompass and celebrate the diversity of the band member's influences. The high-energy collective truly embodies what it means to be a "band", finding risk taking, improvising and spontaneous communication to be the keystones of their original, raw sound.

Band members, Adam Balcer (guitar, vocals), Paul Geoghan (bass, vocals), Dan Robinson (drums, percussion), Steve Wheeler (percussion) and Jason Wheeler (mandolin, vocals) have erupted on the regional music scene in a short time and have since performed alongside national acts such as Karl Denson, Ekoostik Hookah, RAQ, Hal Ketchum and many more. Glean Infusion thoughtfully uses music as a means to grow, enhance and celebrate community, art and life.

Join us as we kick off our annual summer Backyard Beer-B-Q Series! With a different dinner special cooked out on the grill each week, we will also feature live music from 5-8pm.

Music with real feelings and stories to share is the focus for Kyle and Jessica. With many influences from Rock, blues, country to opera, Kyle and Jessica's songwriting and cover song choices are a reincarnation of many genres.

Hank Mowery raced onto the local and regional blues scene in the early 90's with his band, The Hawktones. As General Manager of The Rhythm Kitchen Café, Mowery honed his skills weekly, playing with The Hawktones and jamming nightly with local and national blues acts that happened through The Kitchen. "It was an incredible time," Mowery explains, "I had the opportunity to play with my idols. These are people I had been trying to emulate for years; now they were booked in my club, inviting me to play with them, then taking me under their wing and showing me the tricks they used...I learned more in those 2 a.m. sessions than I ever could have from their albums."

Mowery had the opportunity to share the stage with true legends of the Blues such as Little Charlie and the Nightcats, Pinetop Perkins, Gary Primich, Anson Funderburg, Fingers Taylor, Peter "Madcat" Ruth and William Clarke...to name a few. Join us as Hank and the Hawktones make their debut here at the pub!

Brother Bill is about having fun! there is nothing angry, depressing or sleepy about our music. we play foot-stompin' songs y'all can party to- no matter what kind of music you like. Brother Bill and Brother Ron started this band almost four years ago and there's no end in sight! They continue to gain recognition in their local scene and are playing more shows all the time! Their high energy show does not disappoint! Come on down and check them out as they debut here at the pub!

With soaring melodies that leave his audience humming for days and refreshingly honest lyrics that seep down into the listener’s marrow, Zach Vinson’s unique brand of indie pop/rock is reminiscent of artists such as Ben Kweller and Ben Folds while also pushing forward into new musical ground.

Join us out back for our summer Beer-B-Q series and Zach’s debut performance at the pub. Good music and good grillin’!

Cavepeople employ an eclectic musical palette that blends elements of rock, jazz, folk, and soul. Singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Ben Bueltmann is backed by an all-star band which includes his father Greg Bueltmann (organ/vocals) and his uncle Fred Bueltmann (bass), as well as Bob Palmieri (guitar), and Larry Beers (drums). Calling themselves Cavepeople with no faint trace of irony, they root cryptic lyrics and brooding romanticism to complex, enigmatic grooves, giving them a fresh sound with deep ties to their diverse musical heritage.

The Harrisburg Brewer's Fest has secured 30,000 square feet of festival space and will have up to 50 breweries. There will be food concessions and a seated area at the back of the festival site. The festival site can accommodate 3,500 beer lovers.
This festival is a great opportunity for craft-brew lovers to enjoy and sample 70+ products from some of the regions finest breweries.

Blue Moon Review is an exciting four piece rock band from Chicago, Illinois. The band has had the pleasure of sharing the stage with some of the best acts in the business including Santana, Los Lobos, and OK GO to name just a few. Building on a decade of experience writing and performing their unique original music, the group is gaining a lot of attention off the strength of their new self-titled EP, "Blue Moon Revue". This new set of tunes features a fresh new direction for the band that focuses on both their guitar driven songwriting and the high energy of their much buzzed about live show.

Hailing form Grand Rapids, MI, A.B! & Coconut Brown was conceived in the summer of 2005 and is the brainchild of front man, Adrian Butler. After a few sparse gigs between '05 and '07, the current lineup was finalized in late December of '07. During the spring of 2008, AB added trombonist, Josh Usadel to further thicken the horn section.

The sound of A.B! and Coconut Brown is an organic blend of bass, drums, electric guitar, keys and horns synthesized with a MPC 2000. This mixture of hip-hop beats, infused with elements of jazz, pop, rock, reggae and old-school funk is truly unique. Chief lyricist and MC, Butler, raps about topics ranging from space travel, politics, social issues, personal experience and female situations. His rhymes are touched with smart humor and satirical overtones.

ABC Brown has been gigging virtually non-stop on the West Michigan club circuit throughout 2008. They have played all the major local venues and festivals. The band even played 3 shows in one day in the fall of 2008! A.B! & Coconut Brown is currently working hard to break out into major markets such as Detroit, Chicago and beyond in 2009.

This Celebration of American Beer features over 50 of America’s best breweries, a variety of food to complement the craft beers and great local and regional bands to entertain you.

Admission tickets for the BrewFest purchased on the day of the event will be $25 for an Adult admisson (must be 21 years of age or older) and $20 for a designated driver ticket. Admission tickets are available prior to the opening of the event onliner. Advance purchase tickets are $20 for an Adult ticket and $15 for a designated driver ticket.

Admission tickets are valid for one day of the festival and can be used either day. Valid identification is required for admission.
