Hosted by Challenge Mountain Charity in the Bellaire Ballroom of Shanty Creek’s beautiful Summit Village, this high-spirited event pits the finest culinary minds of North and South Michigan in a winner-take-all hot food competition to be voted on by three expert judges and the viewing public.

The following night, return for a delightful evening of thrills and fun as our winning North and South teams square off in a heated, “mystery” basket Iron Chef Challenge! For the price of your entry, enjoy an extravagant four course dinner courtesy of the illustrious chefs of Shanty Creek.

3rd Annual Beer & Brat Festival (Crystal Mountain Resort-Thompsonville, MI)

The Michigan Beer & Brat Festival has quickly become Crystal's signature Memorial Day weekend event. This year the Michigan Brewers Guild will partner with Crystal for the festival featuring a variety of over 40 Michigan microbrews from Bell's, Short's, New Holland, Founder's, Arbor, Arcadia, Jolly Pumpkin and more. Specialty brats with a range of flavors from spicy jalapeno to tart cherry, Bavarian pretzels, and live entertainment will highlight the event as well.
