A Barrel-aged ale with a soft and rich caramel-malt character intermingled with deep vanilla tones dancing in an oak bath. Unmistakably distinctive and hauntingly remarkable, Dragon’s Milk’s warming complexity pairs well with smoked meats and cheeses, rich desserts, or a nice cigar.

Taste 5 special beers with the Partners of New Holland Brewing Company. Brett VanderKamp, President and Co-founder, John Haggerty, Brewmaster and Fred Bueltmann, Beervangelist, will share their insight as they guide you through six beers from their Michigan-based brewery.

The beers: Golden Cap, the brewery’s first saison, Blue Sunday Sour Ale, their limited edition (500 bottles made), 11th Anniversary Ale, Charkoota Rye – a smoked Rye-bock (only 11 kegs made), Dragon’s Milk - the barrel-aged anchor of their High Gravity series and two vintages of Pilgrim’s Dole, one of the premier wheatwines of the region.

Learn about the beers’ origin, ingredients and flavor components. Enjoy a thoughtfully paired food as well as tips on how to pair beer on your own. Brett, John and Fred represent all aspects of the business of beer, so this class will be chock-full of perspective from the world of craft-brewing.
