About
I started working with New Holland in the summer of 06 and before working for the company I was a homebrewer during my college years. As I took science courses at GVSU I enjoyed looking at the science involved in brewing. After graduation I traveled the Midwest with a few of my brothers boxing, competing in jiu-jitsu tournaments and fighting in the occasional mma cagefight (being a middle child in a family of 13 led naturally to competition in combat sports and the ability to eat fast). I spent the next 6 months with no job or focus other than homebrewing and fighting the biggest heavyweights available.
Then one night my love of good beer lead me to New Holland's website where I saw they were hiring. Within a week I had soda in every orifice of my body from soda blasting tanks on the back pad of the Fairbanks building. I began brewing when we moved into the new production plant and have been lucky enough to use some of my science background in the lab.
People I admire would be Tank Abbott, Wanderlei Silva and Louis Pasteur. My hobbies include beekeeping to insure a large supply of honey for meadmaking and keeping the neighborers away. Blacksmithing with the forge my girlfriend Monica bought me (sadly all attempts at swords and battle axes have failed....so far). And also watching the family pit bull Rayne fight bugs in the backyard. She has had fights with pinching beetles that are some of the most epic battles I have ever seen.
