| Ingredients | 5 ripe Bartlett (variety in question) pears, peeled, halved and cored 2 cups New Holland Pilgrim’s Dole Wheatwine Ale (alternate: Black Tulip Trippel) 3 Tablespoons Turbinado sugar 4 whole cloves |
| Method | In a shallow saucepan, bring beer, sugar pears and cloves to a boil, reducing to simmer immediately and continuing uncovered for 12 - 15 minutes until tender. Remove from pan with slotted spoon. Boil remaining liquid, reducing to syrup, (add chocolate?) and drizzle over plated pears. |
