Rachel Curtis Music has existed professionally since 2014, based out of Lansing, MI. She performs six different genres that feature seasoned vocals and various instruments: Guitar, Mandolin, Foot Tambourine and Cajon are often played simultaneously to create a full band sound. In addition to her one woman show, she loves sharing the stage with other musicians, adding bass, electric guitar, drums and violin to the mix. She recently opened for the Grammy Award winning folk band “Nitty Gritty Dirt Band” which coincided with a live performance on the Detroit Fox2 News. Some past highlighted shows she has performed at across Michigan, Chicago and Nashville include: Sound Board, Palace of Auburn Hills, BlueBird Cafe, Rosa Parks Circle, The Loft, Mac’s Bar, Elbo Room, Lansing Lugnuts Stadium and Uncommon Ground. She’s also played numerous festivals including the Ann Arbor Summer Festival, Holler Fest, Northville Fine Arts Festival, Farmfest, East Lansing Arts Festival, Beaver Island Music Festival, Detroit Zoo Brew, Festival of the Sun & Moon, REO Town Arts & Craft Beerfest. She has made it to the step before the blind auditions for the TV Show, The Voice. Rachel also enjoys playing at churches, restaurants, bars and weddings regularly. As a former duo, she released their debut EP, Nights Like These, in May of 2015. Her 2017 EP is to be released soon.
