New Holland Brewing Presents Five-Course, Paired, Fundraising Dinner, “Rocktoberfest” to Benefit Feeding America West Michigan Food Bank

New Holland Brewing Co. | September 21, 2015

RocktoberfestPoster_Aug31-(2)New Holland Brewing Co. is pleased to announce “Rocktoberfest”, a coursed Harvest Dinner where each course is inspired by rock & roll and paired with beer and spirits. Proceeds to benefit Feeding America West Michigan Food Bank.

Taking place at New Holland Pub in Downtown Holland on September 29 at 6:30pm, this inaugural dinner will feature renowned chefs of the Midwest and pairing experts. The chefs have been challenged to take inspiration from a rock & roll song or artist of their choice and create a dish featuring locally-harvested ingredients that represents their tasty homage. Each course will be paired with either a beer or cocktail by featured beverage and pairing experts. Live music provide by The Shrock Brothers.

Roctoberfest’s fundraising efforts will benefit Feeding America West Michigan Food Bank who works with more than 1,100 food pantries, soup kitchens, and homeless shelters in a service area that spans 40 counties in West Michigan and the Upper Peninsula. Through this network, they are able to serve an estimated 492,100 people struggling with hunger each year.

“We’re excited to have such talented chefs and experts here at New Holland for a dinner to celebrate the Fall Harvest, but more importantly, we’re excited to help raise more awareness and money for Feeding America West Michigan through this incredible dinner,” said Fred Bueltmann, VP of Brand & Lifestyle.

Tickets are available through NHrocktoberfest.eventbrite.com. Cost is $65; seats are limited. All food, drink, entertainment is included.

“It’s really fitting that New Holland Brewing would use a dinner like this to draw attention to the issue of hunger in our community. It’s a sad fact that 1 in 7 people in our region lack reliable access to nutritious food, especially because we know that Michigan has more than enough food to go around. Our greatest needs are funding and awareness, and New Holland is addressing both with this event.” Ken Estelle, CEO of Feeding America West Michigan Food Bank.
