Water Sign IPA-India Pale Ale

Water Sign IPA is made from 100% Michigan-grown products – from the Cascade
and Crystal hops provided by Michigan’s own Empire Farms to the barley and
wheat produced by Michigan Malting. Water Sign is light in color, but boasts a big
hop character. The Crystal hops are added in the fermenter and add a refreshing
aroma to the slightly spicy character and well-defined malt flavor.

Water Sign IPA is a collaboration brew made by New Holland partners Brett
VanderKamp and Fred Bueltmann and the newest member of NHBC, Steve “Bert”
Berthel. This beer not only celebrates their birthdays but also shines a light on
something all three have a passion for Michigan-made products.

On the lighter side of the stout spectrum, but a stout nonetheless. You’ll notice a hint of roast and toast when you bring this beer to the nose. We added 14 pounds of JP’s coffee which means this beer is fueled with earthy undertones along with subtle hints of chestnuts and toffee. A coffee lover’s gateway.

Robust in character yet smooth in delivery, Cabin Fever is a roasty brown ale and a hearty, comforting companion for long, mind-bending winters. Its rye, roast and raisin notes play off a subtle caramel sweetness and culminate in a dry finish. Excellent with roasts, stews, caramelized onions and snowfall.

Our Dragon’s Milk and Poet are a huge part of our beer portfolio, so we are delighted that there is a day devoted to a brew we love so dearly.

As we get a little closer, keep an eye out for updates from the Pub kitchen, where Chef Len will be announcing some stout-inspired specials. Each one is sure to be enjoyed with one of our stouts – and who knows – maybe there will be a special guest announced too…

Join the world in your love of the dark beauty of a well-crafted stout! Cheers!

The Turnips have been a collective in one way or another since 2009. The individual members have been playing with other Michigan Groups in which they have networked and organized with Michigan’s Festivals, Theatres, and Non-Profit Clubs and Circuits.

Description
“From folk ballads, to alt-rock, Americana-driven tunes and blues-rock burners, The Turnips leave no stone left unturned. This album is a genre-jumping journey across a rich musical landscape as thick as the White Pine forests of Western
Michigan. There is instrumental prowess, lyrical inventiveness, and extreme attention to detail. It’s explorative yet tasteful, unique yet highly accessible, and nothing short of a powerful debut album from a band with enough potential to blow the roof clear off the entire Midwest music scene.” -SoundFuse Magazine

Jet black in color with a robust tan head. This beer exemplifies all that is winter. Rich, smooth, warming and spicy! Chocolate and Irish malt pave a way to the nose, while a huge spicy rye character takes over the palate. We put the other half of this batch in Rum barrels to age…you can only imagine.

Combined with apple-blueberry cider during fermentation and blended with spruce tips. We’re proud to feature all Michigan ingredients throughout.
