I traveled 3 and a half hours and was lucky enough to land Batch 1 Bottle 369 (thought that was cool… 369!) of this little beast of a spirit. I think you got something here. The small barrel and the heavy char may be the key to this! However, you must put in your tasting notes that upon entering the mouth, this spirit is a lush as it gets! The whiskey just flows over the tongue like a waterfall and fills the mouth with a smoothness I rarely experience and miss when I don’t. Not watery, but full and lush! I must say though… I don’t get the coffee much, but a burst of malt like I got from a 1976 Banff Scotch I was so lucky to add to the collection years ago.
